Here's why the Nationals might wait until the start of Spring Training to make another move.
Just like that, Spring Training is under two weeks away. And in an offseason that’s been quiet across most of Major League Baseball, the Nationals will be one of just a few teams featuring several new names as players start arriving.
Nathaniel Lowe, Josh Bell, Michael Soroka, Jorge Lopez, Shinnosuke Ogasawara, and Amed Rosario were all added on major-league contracts in the offseason, and veterans Andrew Knizner (catcher) and Patrick Weigel (relief pitcher) were also added as non-roster invitees on minor league deals.
